Social Responsibility

Bibby Offshore's parent company Bibby Line Group created the 'Giving Something Back' programme, a unique initiative that aims to harness the passion of our people and contribute something back to the local communities in which we are involved, either personally or where we do business. The programme engages employees by offering them support towards fundraising and volunteering for a chosen charity, cause or project at a local level. The programme was established during Bibby Line Group's bicentenary year in 2007 and the company continues its commitment to supporting charitable causes and projects throughout the world. Since 2007 with the benefit of match funding, Bibby Line Group employees have raised £5 million for around 900 charitable causes.

Bibby employees have volunteered to restore a school in Uganda for orphaned children, helped build a school in Kenya, worked on improving houses in the slums of Brazil and helped build a school in Cambodia. As well as volunteering opportunities, our employees can take on a personal challenge and raise money for their own chosen charity. These personal challenges have included walking the Great Wall of China, trekking through Peru, cycling from Vietnam to Cambodia, and walking the Dalai Lama trek in India.
